This is an U13/U14 hardball festival.

We are delighted to inform you that we have secured our New Road ground on Friday 3rd September to run our Esher Tournament for the first time as a dedicated event for our Girls Section, specifically our U13/14 development Girls teams.


The Esher Tournament Day is a popular event in the season calendar for all boys age groups and we will be running it along exactly the same format:

8 Teams will be invited to play at a match fee of £85 / team (covers cost of umpires, medals and trophy)

The teams will be separated into two leagues of 4 teams, where each team will play each other once. Therefore, ensuring that each team will play a minimum of 3 matches.

There will be 8 players per team. Clubs are welcome to bring squads of more than 8 players and rotate their team selection.

All matches will consist of 14 overs, 7 overs per team.

Professional umpires will be provided. Teams need to provide match manager, scorer and DBS parents as normal.

Rules:

8 a side, highest run score wins.

7 overs, when you're out you're out.

WK does not bowl, everyone else bowls one over.

Wides and No balls count as 2, no re-bowling except in last over.

In the batting order, no one can bat in the same place twice in the 3 group games and for each group game the opening pair must not be the same (so you can't switch around 1 and 2). This ensures the opportunities are spread throughout your team.


And perhaps more importantly(!):

The club bar and kitchen will be open throughout the day, serving breakfasts and bacon rolls in the morning from 9.00am and a Thai Bento Boxes with Hot Curries from 12.30.

A set price Players BBQ lunch, consisting of a good quality 6oz Beef or Chicken burger with sesame seed bun, French fries and garnish of salad and a can of soft drink, for £5.00 This can be ordered and paid for in advance with the application form, or ordered and paid to the kitchen by 10.30 on the match day



Tournament Payment:

Please can you book in your place for the relevant date for your team. You will not need to sign up to Spond to do this, as you can request a one-time password in order to pay for your entry. Please make sure you enter your club and team name in the relevant question, so we can link this up the payment to your entry.

Food Orders:

We are testing a new way to order food, to make things quicker on the day. Please send this out to your teams attending. Lek's Thai is legendary, so worth trying! You will not need to sign up to Spond to do this, as you can request a one-time password in order to order food. If you do have a Spond account, you will need to log into your Spond account during the process (if you can't remember, please reset password from Spond on the website version).


Please note you will need to order (& check out) the adult menu separate to the kids menu. If you want to order more than one item, you need to add it to the basket and then go back and register the next item for the next person. Please select the date for your tournament, so they can be distinguished from other dates.
